Hi sir,
What is the difference between a flotation and a direct sale of shares?
In this qs’s answer they have told the benefits of direct sale of wholebusiness,what does it really imply?only some shares or whole business sale?A flotation is when the company gets listed on the stock exchange and advertises the shares for sale to anyone who appl;ies.
A direct sale is where a specific buyer (or buyers) is found for the existing shares.A direct sale of the whole business is where the whole business is sold (not just some shares).
