Hi sir,
What is the difference between a flotation and a direct sale of shares?
In this qs’s answer they have told the benefits of direct sale of wholebusiness, what does it really imply?only some shares or whole business sale?
A flotation is when the company gets listed on the stock exchange and advertises the shares for sale to anyone who appl;ies.
A direct sale is where a specific buyer (or buyers) is found for the existing shares.
A direct sale of the whole business is where the whole business is sold (not just some shares).
