    Hello,

Could you just briefly explain what is a “council Tax” and also indicate whether they deductible expenses for property income?

    Thanks.

No problem – it’s a local government property tax and yes it is an allowable expense if incurred by the property owner. In reality however it is usually the tenant who pays the council tax and so is irrelevant for the property income assessment of the owner.
