I am getting a little confused between the business case document and project iniation document.
Both seem to have the same things. i.e. Cost /benefits, risk, constraints etc.
Is the business case an outline for gaining approval but then the document looks quite detailed as does the PID.
Thanks
Business case is a summary of why project is needed, what it will achieve and how it will proceed.
whereas PID or project charter complements business case. It acts as base document through which progress of project can be assessed.
