project idea

Hi,

I would like to undertake a BSc project, and am trying to think of possible ideas.

One idea I have is to do a project somehow related to Tesco. The reason for this is, firstly, I hold a few shares in this company, so I am already vaguely aware of their business performance over the past few years. Secondly, I don’t have much direct experience with big companies, except I do use supermarkets (including sometimes Tesco) on a daily basis.

So firstly, would you say my reasons for choosing this company are valid ones? Secondly, what project area/title would you recommend. Looking through the list of approved topic areas, the two possible ones I can see might be;

“an analysis and evaluation of the business and financial performance of an organisation over a three year period”; or

“a critical evaluation of the restructuring of an organisation’s operational activities and the effect on the organisation’s financial performance”.

Any suggestions and advice would be greatly appreciated.
