Can the project manager and the project sponsor held by the same person?
And what is the project sponsor responsibility?
Manager = day to day management of the project.
Sponsor = person/department who really want the project carried through. They usually end up paying for it.
So the accounts department might sponsor a project to implement a new computerised accounting system, but the project manager is likely to be an IT expert (though teh project team will include an accounting person).
May I know what is the ideal number of people become the sponsor (“PS”) & manager (“PM”) for a project?
1) One PS & one PM; or
2) One PS & > one PM; or
3) > one PS & > one PM.
I would think 1. Probably about 6 on the project team.
