In June 2014 Q1 and June 2011 Q2 , why is the gain/loss on the fec not shown ?

Because we do not know what the spot rate will be at the time of the transaction, so (for futures) it is more sensible to use the lock-in rate.
The questions ask for advice, and you can illustrate this in various ways.
