    Hey guys,

I was planning on taking TX with AA in December, but decided against it as I thought it might likely be made remote. Therefore, I’m thinking of taking it in March along with a professional paper.

I’ll be taking ATX and APM as my optional papers, and wanted to see what your sugesstions are as to which paper I could do with TX? I was thinking of doing ATX, but the fact that both exams are scheduled for the same day is slightly off-putting.

Do you have any suggestions for which other paper I could do with TX? What do you think about taking TX and SBR together?

    Thank you in advance!

ACCA deliberately schedules AA/AAA, FR/SBR, PM/APM, TX/ATX, FM/AFM together so candidates are not sitting the options before they have sat and passed the applied skills assumed knowledge. Given that the tax legislation changes from J21, you might want to consider sitting in J21 so that you will study for ATX with the same tax rates and allowances.

Sorry I was not clear – J21 tax rates and allowances will be different from M21 tax rates and allowances – so if you plan to sit ATX you might want to do TX in J21 and ATX later in 2021.

Yes that means entering for TX in M21 even if you do not plan to sit it – but you could sit for SBR while FR knowledge is still relatively fresh. I’m only putting it to you for information so you can see your options are wider than sitting something alongside TX in M21.

I’m not saying you couldn’t do TX in M21 – just pointing out something you might want to bear in mind.
