Hi sir,
Hope you’re well.
Last moment tip needed.
I know we can use multiple models to analyze what needs changing. The OT notes suggest the POPIT and Baldrige model and I do understand how to use them.. you have to analyze your current situation and align the factors with where you want to go…
But for the exams, do you have a tip as to when to use which one when? Should I decide according to the marks given? Like with POPIT, I’d have to cover much less points as opposed to the Baldrige model.
That is what I think. Do you have any other tip?
December 4, 2023 at 11:18 am #695982I would stay away from Baldridge if you can as it is complex and likely to be difficult to apply.
POPIT gives a nice simple checklist of the aspects of an organisation to give attention to when planning changes. Relatively easy to apply to scenarios.
When it comes es to carrying out the change, Balogun and Hope Hailey give a useful model. You don’t need to include all aspects of this but, for example, if the change is urgently needed then the change style is likely to be fairly dictatorial. If the change is very complex (wide scope) then you will need lots of cooperation and perhaps outside help.
