    Dear John,

    Hello!

I intended to sit P5 in Mar 2016 session but I have heard that sitting and passing P3 before sitting P5 could be a good strategy. I passed F5 (65+) in sept session. Do you think I have a good foundation to go for P5? Also, do you believe that P5 have a strong rather than a soft link to P3 (for the chances of pass)?

In terms of P5, do you have some tips in terms of study?

    Thanks!

    Have a nice day!

There is a lot more writing in P5 (as opposed to calculations) and taking P3 first is useful because it does help with quite a bit of the writing.

With regard to tips for studying you are better asking in the P5 Ask the Tutor Forum – the P5 tutor will be better able to help (I do not teaching P5).
