When I calculate Present values manually with the formula it differs very slightly to when I use the tables.
In the exam, does the marking system allow for the discrepancy? or should I only use the tables,
Thanks
As I explain in my free lectures, it is because the tables are rounded to three decimal places.
The computer is programmed to take account of this when marking (most often by asking for the answer to be given to (for example) the nearest thousand).
