    Dear Sir,

I attempted p7 in June exam and I failed at 41. And I plan to take it again in December by self-studying of my old notes and the updates from opentution. So my question is that the materials will b sufficient for self-study without taking classes by course provider? Since my lecturer keeps saying about incoming changes in syllabus.

    Thanks in advance.

A quick check of the syllabus for June 2016 compared with that for September 2016 shows the following:

ISA 260 Those charged with governance, has been revised
ISA 570 Going concern, has been revised
ISA 700 Opinions, has been revised
ISA 705 Modifications in audit reports, has been revised
ISA 706 Emphasis of matters, has been revised
ISA 720 Auditors responsibilities for other information, has been revised

    And that’s it

Those last four are covered by the revised chapter in the course notes

I seem to remember thinking that the existing course notes covered the other two adequately

    OK?
