    Good day,

I am a new ACCA student from South Africa and are registered to write the AFM exam in June 2020. I am going to take the approach of using the lectures and the notes with the Practise and Revision Kit OR Exam Kit. My questions are: 1. If I use the approach, do I still need the study text? 2. What is the best to get, Practise and Revision Kit or the Exam Kit? Kaplan or BBP? Do the Exam Kit also gives revision or is it just the Practise and Revision Kit that gives revision?

Thank you for the amazing lectures btw. This will also help me with my CIMA studies in SA.

    Greetings,

If you are watching the lectures together with the notes, then you do not really need the Study Text (although for Paper AFM the more reading the better). What you certainly must do is read all of the technical articles on the ACCA website.

As for as the Revision/Exam Kit is concerned neither of them give anything extra for revision apart from the fact that they are both full of past exam questions. Kaplan and BPP are both approved publishers and the Kits are as good as each other.

I happen to have the BPP Revision Kit because I like it, but everyone has their own personal preferences. (If you do decide to get the BPP Kit (whether as hard copy or soft copy) then you can get a 20% discount by following the link on the page)
