Hello,
Please can you help me with Kate – 19/20 in the practice answers? The answer says the tax payable is £16,575 but I have worked it out to be £7,720. Please could someone check this question? I have the following:
Taxable Income – £43,000.
Non-Savings Tax – £6,500
Savings Tax – £600
Dividend Tax – £1,125
Tax Liability – £ 8,225
Tax Payable – £8,225 less PAYE £505 = £7,720
Thank you,
Mike
Thanks Mike for your note – our individual figures of tax as you show above and is shown in detail in the model answer are the same and are correct, but for some inexplicable reason my ability to then compute a sub total for tax liability and the subsequent bottom line figure for tax payable is indeed way off the mark!!
I will arrange for the editor to correct this online – and please keep me posted if my additions are found to be wanting elsewhere in the notes!!
