In the answer to above question, the sales volume variance was calculated as 600 units x $19.10. Could you please explain where the $19.10 came from?

It is the contribution per unit. (Either prepare a standard cost card, or divide the budget contribution by the budgeted sales).
I assume that you have watched all of the lectures, because there is no point at all in trying to study from the lecture notes. They are notes to use with the lectures, but it is in the lectures that we work through the examples and explain and expand on them.
