Sir what do u mean by deemed occupation and actual occupation.. I dnt understand these..
plus when do u really have to work out the 18 months thing in a total period ownership calculation?

Actual occupation means you actually live in the property! Deemed occupation means that although you are NOT actually living in the property you are for tax purposes (PPR relief) deemed to be living in it. You have to learn the 4 periods of deemed occupation and be able to apply in an exam question. One of the deemed periods of occupation is the last 18 months of ownership of the property.
