    Hi,

Can you please explain what part B of this question is asking? I cant understand it….

    B)

Evaluate the impact on Posie’s information requirements arising from:
    (i) The need to identify and improve on the level of customer returns. (6 marks)
(ii) The proposed re-designation of the overseas subsidiaries from profit centres to revenue centres.

These requirements are covered by the last two paragraphs of the question.

Broadly to identify and improve the level of customer returns the IT system must capture the reasons for returns, the departments responsible, and the volumes returmed. These feed into DMAIC and we would hope ro see the returns grow less frequent. The IT system could also be used ro set targets and report when actual returns are higher

Moving from profit centres to revenus centres implies not reporting on costs but probably wanting to report on revenues in much more detail. Eg by product, industry sector, month etc.

    Hi,

Still unsure what this asking “Evaluate the impact on Posie’s information requirements arising from:”

If I was to look at the question just as the below, yes your answer and the acca answer would make sense.

    (i) The need to identify and improve on the level of customer returns. (6 marks)
(ii) The proposed re-designation of the overseas subsidiaries from profit centres to revenue centres.

But the evaluate part is what is throwing me off.

ps. examiners report said this was a badly answered question as candidates did not understand the question.
