I am aware that the porter’s model, both the five forces and diamond talks about the competitive advantage of the organisation. However, i have difficulty in understanding the difference between these two. How is it related to understanding the environment analysis of an organisation? Would appreciate if someone can share their knowledge with me.

    Thanks in advance. 🙂

5 forces looks at some of the characterisics of an insdustry sector: how competitive, how easy for newcomers to get into it etc.

Porter’s Diamond is not really anything to do with companies, it is to do with countries and why some countries (nations) are good a certain things.

These are both extensively explained in the lectures.
