Hi All,
I heard in one webinars it was suggested to never use Porter’s Diamond Model in SBL exam. But I did not understand exactly why. I was using it when i see questions like “analyse why company is successfuk in country x…” kind of questions.
May i ask advise on this? Why I shall not use Porter’s Diamond in SBL?
Thanks
I don’t know why a webinar would have said ‘never to use Porter’s Diamond. It is certainly on the syllabus I would use it where you suggest. The important thing to remember is that it deals primarily with countries, not companies. Of course, if a company started up in a country with favourable diamond characteristics, the company might have a better chance of doing well than if it started somewhere with unfavourable factor conditions, no supporting industries etc.
