    Quote:
    I got 68,
Studied for less than a week,
    busy with other stuff.
but i wrote much more i used so many extra sheets.
probably i passed because of this thing.
i always use to write in much more details.
    clearing everything.
like i dont leave chances of being fail.
    I

    m agree with
    Blue.:
got 67. i knew id get a low score coz i thought the paper was easy. Whenever i think a paper is hard, i end up with great scores. Strange. There goes my average.

As for the secret to passing…aim for more than 50. If u aim for 50, ur gonna end up with 30. All i did was study the FTC book and go through the revision kit briefly, paying particular attention to the clarity project summary. Know your ISAs well. Rest is common sense. I only wrote one booklet, had about 10mins to spare after i finished writing the answers. I have absolutely zero auditing practical experience and i dont work in accounting nor consider myself an accountant. So everything i got was straight from the textbooks/revision kits.
Oh and of course, u need to be spot on with IFRS/IAS

u have to get grasp on the all ISA’s, thorough understanding of all articles.
aswell u must know the way to attempt the paper.
i just went thorogh the past papers in quite good way
    that helped me alot.
actually i cleared all my ACCA papers in one go.
    i was already affiliate.
attempted this exam as an extra for professional development.
so i think who is being failed you should change the way of studying aswell attempting paper.
    thats very essential.!
    Thanks

I got 56% – and am now an affiliate. I passed all my exams first time, and my method was always the same.

-Do all of the practice questions as early as possible.
-Anything I did not understand, research online.
-I also went to all lessons and did everything the lecturers said.
-I presented my answers neatly and clearly (someone above mentioned white space and headings, and I also explain every point to make sure my point is understood).
-For this exam, I also read the APB website as I did the UK version, and made sure I was up-to-speed with the Clarity project.

However, this was the lowest mark I ever got in an ACCA exam and therefore perhaps it is one of the hardest exams to sit.

if i only practice the questions in Revision kit is it enough or still need to practice those past yr questions?

I would look at as many of the past papers as you can. Even if you just read the questions, the answers and the most recent examiner’s report to understand where people usually go wrong – so that you don’t also go wrong. Many of the past questions are also in the exam kits.

the thing with audit pprs is tht u cannot predict the scenario tht will appear in the exam.. so its abt getting ur technique right..
jus go through a topic from the study text and then practice from the kit or from past pprs.. application of the knowldege is the key here.. and try reading the examiner’s answers to the exam pprs..
try to think as the examiner thinks..
and jus answer the exam ppr in short paragrahs… 2 to 3 lines, each worth 1 to 2 marks
this makes it easier for the examiner to check ur ppr and helps u answer the question more appropriately..
