    I made it. Passed all the four subjects, P1 79%, P2 64%, P4 52% and P5 66%. This means completing ACCA exams in two sittings after 6 exemption. Wrote four in Dec 2009 and Four in June 2010. I am happy for the achievement.

    the trick is plan your study programme, concentrate at passing first time not scoring high marks in one subject and failling the others. I took the approach that I need to get at least 60% in all the subjects and all the examiner to reduce the number of marks when marking. So if I hit the target I score above 60% and if I fail I get any thing between 50% and 59%. This means my target pass mark is 60%. I recommend you read Passfirsttime.com. I used the following approach ;
    I work and travel a lot. I always carry a book to read in my car. when I am waiting for someone I will be reading my book.
    If I am flying I have my book.
    Reduce TV time.

    I have qualified as an ACCA affiliate in June 2010 session. I have noticed that some students have repeatedly failed P1 which is more likely than not attributable to poor exam technique rather than a lack of knowledge.

    Therefore, I am taking the initiative of starting a Crash course of P1 which is expected to last for 1 to 1.5 months where grade booster techniques and inside tips regarding paper solving will be shared that’ll INSHALLAH make the paper more passable. In this time around 15 hours will be allocated to syllabus coverage and around 20 hours to past papers.

    Interested Students(both first attempters and repeaters) of Islamabad can contact.
    Fees is Rs 6,500 and the course will INSHALLAH commence on 30 August.
    A minimum of 5 students are required before the course can be started. First 2 classes are free.

    Why do you think it went wrong? is it a knowledge thing? lack of preparation or wee you suprised on the day by the questions?

    I passed it this time at the third attempt so have been in your situation, and im afraid to say that the material doesn’t get any more interesting the second (or third!) time around

    For me it was simply a case that i got a bee in my bonnet that i wasn’t going to fail it again!
