    Dear Sir,

I didn’t pass the PM exam (39%) in sept. I need advice on how to start preparing for Dec 2020. I have ordered my BPP revision kit and already have open tuition notes ( March – June 2020).

Due to year end in dec2020 I’ll not be able to take any time off work for study. I’ll only have 3-4 hr off to do the exam.

I think I failed in sept due to lack of questions practice. So, give the current work situation and lack of study leave situation should I just start practising the exam question now (approx 5-6 weeks left for exam ) or should I watch the open tuition lectures first and then start practicing questions.

I have 3-4hr available as study time every day till the exam day due to remote working arrangements.

Can you please give a summarise practical advice as what steps I should take now and get over this exam in dec.

    Kind Regards,
    Martin

I am sorry that you were not successful in September.

The best way to prepare is to first study by watching all of the free lectures in order (with the free lecture notes in front of you). Answer our short tests as you complete each chapter.

When you have finished studying then start working through the Revision Kit. Do a batch of questions at a time, and don’t look at the answers until you have attempted them yourself. Learn from you mistakes and if anything isn’t clear then either watch the relevant lecture again or ask in this forum and I will explain. Don’t write in the Revision Kit, because it is worth attempting all the questions again if you have the time.

When you have completed all the questions in the Revision Kit, attempt the mock exams at the end of it under exam conditions (in particular sticking to three hours in order to get used to the time pressure in the exam).

Also, make sure you attempt the specimen CBE questions on the ACCA website in order to get used to CBE.
