    Hi all

It’s almost two weeks away the exam and feeling very worried!

I am doing revision past papers, and sometimes I’ll pass over 50s and 60s and all of sudden I obtained 39!

I cannot understand where I stand and feels like my motivation is going down 🙁

This is my second attempt in doing this exam, has anyone went through this ?

I have been preparing months for this subject and sometimes I see comments from other students who obtained this exam only in just a month ! How could they do that ? need some feed back please

Hi, Please keep yourself motivated, and don’t give up- you never know what sort of questions you will get. Maybe you just started to overthink the questions and are tired from all information load? I’m also sitting this exam in September for the second time as the first time I’ve failed due to lack of time in preparation. Now, similar to you I have been revising for months and even though I’m familiar with all the areas, sometimes I make silly mistakes (usually if I overthink and complicate stuff).
I’m now focusing on my weakest points, which is the narrative questions and solving all past exam tests from the ACCA website and in the evening I’m going through all OpenTuition flash cards- I try to answer the questions first before checking the answer.
I have also created my own prediction list with topics I believe are most likely to appear on the exam and focusing on them ( don’t take me wrong-I will still refresh my memory before the exam with the remaining topics, but let’s face it, some areas you feel more comfortable than in others and often is down to luck what set of questions you will get…)
    Take care and stay positive!

Well I have a mixed feelings. Initially I thought I did OK and then I started reading the forum when people were saying how badly worded and confusing it was, so I also doubt myself if I just overlooked the issues or just messed up the whole exam without even realising!? I know that I only struggled with two or three questions from section A, the remaining questions I have answered confidently but I can’t be sure if correct… Same with section B, I answered all questions to all three scenarios and at the time I was happy with the answers but I’m not so sure now. I know some of the answered may have been not correct but I should still get decent points.
In section C I have run out of time in scenario One and only answered the first part of it, missing two more questions, so I think I could lose up to 10 points there if not more, but I did have a good go at the last scenario and answered fully, adding reasonable comments to my calculations etc so I’m hoping for some decent marks on that. I never studied as hard as for this exam and was in my opinion very well prepared, but you know how ACCA likes confusing us with the long scenarios and not very easy worded questions (English is my second language so I have to focus deeply reading the scenarios and sometimes I may not know the meaning of some words, then it’s even more difficult for me!). I am so hoping for a pass, but only time will show, let’s stay positive. I have started my revision for Tx uk exam.
How did you do? Was it hard for you? What set of questions did you get? Fingers crossed we both passed x

Well from my end I had the same feeling I was first relaxed and confident but then I started feeling a bit unassured on the answers I submitted.

There again English is my second language but in my revision papers I always manage to understand the question, the set of questions I had in Section B were on learning curve, target cost, and limiting factor. Section C I had variances and transfer price (which I found this question quite difficult)

I really doubt if I see a pass :/ I did my very best when I start thinking I really start getting worried of what should I do next
