Hi sir! I don’t quite undersand the standard answer of this question (I undersantd the available minutes part though but nothing more), could you please explain it for me? Thank you so much!!
You are going to have to say which part of the answer you are not clear about (and I obviously assume that you have watched my free lectures on throughput accounting).
This reply to a previous post should help you:

Yes I have watched the free lectures 🙂
I don’t understand the time of the process in the answer that belongs the each kinds of cakes.
e.g. For Brownies, why the time for weighing is 60 minutes and 80 mins for mixing and 480 mins for baking? I thought it was calculated in proportion of the time given in the question, but it doesn’t seem like that in other two cakes.
Thank you for the link sir, but that’s for the question 27 and I understand that one. 🙂
The cakes have to be made in batches. Therefore to meet the maximum demand they would have to produce 4 batches of Brownies, 3 batches of Muffins, and 5 batches of Cupcakes.
Multiplying by the time per batch as given in the question produces the times in the answer.
Aaaa! That’s how the numbers were calculated!! Thank you so much sir and I totally get it now!!
You are welcome 🙂
