I have been doing self study for my papers and I plan to write SBL next week.

I have tried the specimen papers. I did well to pass for specimen 1 and 2.

But I just tried specimen 3 and I felt so overwhelmed that I couldnt continue after two hours and I felt I didnt do well to exam pass rate.

I have read my BPP text and kit very well.

But this specimen 3 just destabilizes me. Could you help with suggestions to pass please.

I feel so out of this world.

Ignore specimen 3 and concentrate on your successes for 1 and 2.

With advanced papers such as SBL and APM there is always an element of luck no matter how well you have read study texts. Sometimes you just see immediately what the question is getting at; other times it can remain a mystery.

Try to relax (I know that’s hard at this stage). You did well in two specimens and that’s good. Don’t panic in the exam. Remember you do no have to tackle the requirements in order and it can be useful to start with shorter ones to calm yourself down and also to become familiar with the material.

Above all you if you find a paper obscure you will have plenty of company: most candidates react to papers in similar ways.

I really do appreciate your comment.

Within your words of encouragement, you have also answered my question that can I start with shorter ones before the bigger ones. I actually felt It need to be answered in order.

    Thanks alot for the response.
