I have studied INT variant but enrolled for UK variant for JUNE 2012 exams.
As it is too late i cannot change the Variant.
Does it make a major difference? Are the methods and application of various accounting standards different?
Will there be a different format or different terms used in UK variant?
I am worried and need an immediate help!!( Also from the ACCA TUTOR).
Thank You In AdvanceMay 15, 2012 at 12:30 pm #97570Also for further information, the material from which I studied states that it is for both UK and INT.
But the Mock Papers given are of INT Variant.
I am confused and eagerly awaiting the reply.May 17, 2012 at 9:30 pm #97571The BPP text book (for INT and UK papers) says the UK paper is based on IFRS but you should expect approx 10 marks in the exam for comparisons between International and UK standards.
It also suggests reading an article on the ACCA website ‘Reporting Changes’ by Steve Scott and Graham Holt (Sept 2010).May 17, 2012 at 9:38 pm #97572There is also a supplement you can download from the BPP website:

Hope that helps. Good luck!May 20, 2012 at 3:47 am #97573Thank You very much for your help.

Hang on, you need to know all that additional stuff in the supplement on top of everything covered in the F7 UK BPP text book?
June 9, 2012 at 11:49 am #97576You can download the UK versions of the F7 past exams from the ACCA website.
June 9, 2012 at 7:14 pm #97577Do you have pocket notes ? Kaplan pocket notes state what UK variant of the question would ask. BPP ones might have them too.
Goodwill is one of the differences for instance. If it is negative it goes to a separate line in uk variant etc.
Good luck - AuthorPosts
