Please Advice me whether to study F7 Or F6 with F5?, and which Learning provider to use?, and how to opt in Oxford Brooks Degree as my status “you are not opted into the ACCA/Oxford Brookes Degree Partnership”?

    Hi Hasimali,

There are no specific orders as to combination of papers so long as a prerequisite course is done first. However, the structure of the examination time table could be beneficial as to the combination of exam papers.

Moreso, paper F6 is considered to be the widest of the three papers(personal experience) while paper F7 is a bit striaghtforward and virtually the easiest to pass amongst the three papers(Global exam pass rate). paper F5 is considered to be technical too.

Personally, I advise you go for Paper F5 and F7…though at this point it is expected that you ought to have made up your mind as the exam is less than 80days from now. Early preparation is key!

    Good luck Bro.

paper F7 isnt as wide as paper F6, paper F7 is quite easy to pass so long as you understand IASs and IFRSs very well.

I would say 5 and 6 as 7 is best taken with other financial papers (f8 + 9)

As someone has sat both varieties due to failing F5 first time round I would say do F5 & F7 as the F7 sylabus is a lot smaller than the F6 paper!

Depends really on what sector you work in. I work in practice so found F6 really easy, F7 quite easy, but really struggled with F5.
I would reccommend F5 & F6, however do whatever you feel most comfortable with.
    Good luck

You MUST opt in to Oxford Brookes BEFORE you pass any paper from F7 to F9 otherwise you will be ineligible to register for it. So bear that in mind before you register to take F7.

Also, on the point of F7, it may not be the fattest textbook, but there is a lot of detail in it and the exam itself is heavily time-pressured – there’s a lot to be done in the little time you have to do it. So don’t judge it as easiest to pass based on size of the textbook, nor by comparing pass rates of it to that of F5 & F6. Pass rates are per-paper and are no indication of how many candidates only took that one exam or took more in the same sitting.

F7 has been cited before in Student Accountant by previous students as the most difficult of the F papers to pass because of how much there is do be done in it, so don’t underestimate it!!

Best of luck in whatever exams you decide to take!
