I’m troubled by this confusion regarding operational and planning variances.
I know that we use (Revised – Standard) for planning and (Revised – Actual) for operational.
The big question is that when do we use (actual quantity / actual hours) and (actual units * revised kg / actual units * revised hrs) ?
Are there two separate topics under operational and planning variances where we use the above mentioned against each topic? Or is it that we can use any of the above mentioned for a planning and operational variance question?
Please help :'(
