Which of the following is a disadvantage of a pie chart?
A) They do not show differences in the elements of two different totals.
B) They do not show the relative sizes of elements in a total
C) The trend line is difficult to estimate D) They do not show the absolute sizes of elements in a total
Sir please explain
It is B. An example of a trend is how sales increase from 2019, to 2020, to 2021.
For that a line graph or bar chart is better as these show sales against time.
You could show three undivided pies, one for each year, but it is difficult to estimate growth. Pie charts are best for showing how totals are made up eg the number of people in four different age ranges in a population. Each ‘slice’ represents the people in each age range.
