When there’s a material mistatement in a PFI, audit opinion is qualified/adverse OPINION or CONCLUSION?
I read that it’s a qualified/adverse opinion and was thinking that it’s a negative assurance and a review engagement so perhaps it should be Conclusion instead?

By its very nature pfi is not a suitable subject to command an audit opinion
A review? Yes, by all means
Negative assurance? Certainly
Qualified negative assurance? – I don’t understand how it ever gets to that stage! Surely when the review is being carried out the reviewer is going to be making strange noises and the person that has prepared the pfi, on enquiry, would be told that the figures within the projections are unsustainable
At that stage surely you would amend those figures
Or am I being naive?
