Which of the following would a transport company monitor under the Political heading as part of a PEST analysis?
A Tracking systems to monitor driver hours/anti-theft devices/developments in tyre technology
B State of the economy/oil price movements/a rise in intrest
c fuel tax/congestion charges in cites/plans to build new roadsthe answer is C. i wasnt able to understant the question. Could u explain me?
Basically, you are looking for any political or legal changes that could impact on a transport company.Potentially if say the transport company were a train company then introduction of congestion charges could potentially boost demand for its services if people attempt to avoid congestion charge by using train instead of car on routes subject to congestion charge.On other hand if New roads are built and capacity of road network is increased train passengers may be tempted to use road instead of rail impacting the business.Answer A is something that would be considered by a transport business but under technology heading of PEST Analysis.Likewise answer B is relevant but under economic heading of PEST analysis.
