How the following point is a benefit of Performance related pay?
“It allows greater supervisory responsibility”
Sorry, I don’t understand the point either. It might be suggesting that the supervisor has responsibility for assessing performance and determining a subordinate’s pay. But that is only a benefit if the supervisor’s assessment and pay determination are demonstrably fair. If the subordinate feels unfairly treated by a supervisor, perhaps because of personal animosity, performance related pay can become corrosive.
