As I can remember from my tutor, paper F5 and F9 both have this kind of percentages. 50% theory and 50% calculation.

How about the percentages of theory and calculation in paper F7 and F6 ??? Are they the same as in paper F5 and F9 ???

Difficult to answer that now the new exam structure has been introduced

Even with mcqs there’s a degree of calculation involved but for the remaining 60% of the exam substantially all is likely to be calculation

    Hope that helps

    Hi Mike,

I understand that MCQ can be from anywhere and it’s good to be thorough with the syllabus for this. But as I go with the chapters like revenue and inventory or leases or maybe even conceptual and regulatory framework for financial statements(theory only). Should we be as good in theorey like ready with pointers to write down in exam or a general knowledge and understanding of topic is enough?
Because, I feel bit confused deciding if I should invest time in learning the pointers?

In short, any specific topics which we should we well versed with to answer theoretical LONG answers..?

    Thanks,
    Kulwant

There will not be any theory based long questions …… probably

    Most unlikely!

Consolidations, preparation of financial statements for single entities, cash flows and interpretation are the most likely topics to appear in the long questions

I suggest that you spend substantially all of your time between now and Tuesday going over and over again the mcqs from the revision kit of a reputable publisher

    OK?
