You have to accumulate 36 months – it doesn’t expire.
https://www.accaglobal.com/us/en/help/student-faqs-practical-experience-requirements.htmlSeptember 16, 2022 at 4:15 pm #666552I’ve been reviewing the financial statements and notes before our statements are audited and published. but i’m failing to come up with 500 words to explain that i can do this.
Any advise what i can write to complete objective number 7.

Hey ds3ce,
any chance you could share how you met the performance objective 8?

Does anyone know what they mean by ‘external’ in objective 7. Prepare external financial reports? I do not work in practice however, I do contribute to financial statements of our company but I wouldn’t call them external. There are a lot of objectives typical for work in practice and I’m struggling to find enough technical objectives that I could meet.

It’s something that’s covered in the early papers – FA and MA. External financial reporting is to outside the entity – so yes indeed, annual financial statements that are prepared for shareholders/investors/filed with companies house (if in the UK) are external.
Internal financial reports are for internal use – e.g. monthly management accounts.

I have over 15 years of Audit experiance however it is all from the client side. I have never worked in practice but am the main point of contact for the Audit.
Can I use this experiance for complete the Audit and Assurance PER?
TIA
January 16, 2024 at 8:05 am #698323I don’t see why at least some PER objectives might be met from a client perspective, but I advise that you discuss with your PER supervisor – it is their role to guide, help and support you in this https://www.accaglobal.com/gb/en/student/practical-experience-per/practical-experience-supervisor.html
