This might be a stupid question, but do you need to have completed the exam optional exam to gain experience in that area. For example would I need to have completed P7 to complete Performance Objective 17-Prepare for and collect evidence for audit? I have worked in audit but didn't do the optional audit exam.
Any help would be great

As far as I am aware it doesnt make any difference what option papers you take, PER is completely separate.
PER relates to Real Life experience where as the exams are theory.
