I already have 3 yrs of working experience in related sector but I am not currently working. Infact, I am a full time student for almost 2.5 yrs now.

Can anybody please advise me whether i can include my previous experience in my PER ? Also please suggest what do i write in “Current Status” ? Should i write “employed in relevant role” on the basis of my previous work or just write “not currently working” while recording my experience record ?

I havent recorded my experience till date. can i record all 3 yrs at once ?

Would be grateful if anybody could help. Thanks.

I think you should put currently not working, otherwise your dates won’t match.

You can log your previous experience even if you are no longer working, but be truthful about your current situation.

    Thank you for the response.

I still have a query regarding my supervisor. Can you please tell me that do my father’s cousin qualify as “family” ? I saw somewhere that if we have worked for a family member we need to disclose this to ACCA. I worked for him some years ago in a firm, i think it will meet some performance objectives but i am so confused if i need to say he’s my father’s cousin. we dont live together. It was more of a professional relation with him.

If i have to disclose, where do i disclose it. Is there a section in per or do i have to email acca? please help me out with this issue.

    Hi @akskidd,

    Friends and family
Where possible you should not have a friend or relative as your practical experience supervisor to avoid any potential conflicts of interest. Where this is not possible, you should disclose the relationship to ACCA when you are applying for admission to membership.

The above should answer your query which you can also find in the link below
    https://www.accaglobal.com/ie/en/student/practical-experience-per/practical-experience-supervisor.html

    Hope that helps.
