i dont understand in WORKING 2 THE NET ASSETS OF SUBSIDIARY , in kaplan kit answer sheets it is showing retained earning at acquisition $5000 …i cannot find from where did they found this …can any one explain me

Yeah the retained earnings at acquisition will be 6500 – (3000/2) as it is a mid year acquisition = 5000.
