Can anyone tell me is that possible for employees themselves could record their overtime work or days off on the weekly sheets? Is that allowed? and how?

For clarity you need to provide the context (background and scenario).

Employees record any overtime worked and days taken off on weekly overtime sheets which are sent to the payroll department.
I have thought that it is wrong that employees themselves record their own overtime worked hours on the sheets and this is then being sent to the payroll department, but the answer never mention this as a deficiency so i guess i am not clear on this

Any overtime worked should be reviewed and authorized, preferably in writing in by a senior trustworthy member of staff. The auditor should then review the time sheets to check for a signature/authorization by the senior member of staff.

Employees completing there own time sheets is NOT a deficiency , this is specifically mentioned in the JUNE 2014 Examiners report, which i suggest you read.
Page 1 , i quote : “Also some candidates identified points which were not valid deficiencies, such as employees being able to complete their own overtime sheets, being allowed a choice between days off or payment of overtime and overtime sheets being entered by payroll clerks.”
as per the answers, the deficiency is “no authorization “.
i suggest you read the examiner report after doing each question to see his comments and common areas of mistakes.
