    I am confusing this question:

    If the payables account has the balance b/d which is in credit side in 20X1 so what is the balance c/d of 20X0 will be situated in credit side or debit side of trade payables account.

    I choose it will be in debit side, and the answer is wrong. Please help me know.

    The ‘missing figure’ to balance the account is always carried forward to the opposite side.

    Please watch the free lectures – the lectures go through everything that is in the syllabus for each paper. You do not need any other books (except for a Revision Kit in order to have lots of questions to practice on).

    What you are asking is dealt with (and explained) in full in the lecture on double entry bookkeeping.
