Hi John,
Please can you help me the slack question, I know how to calculate the shadow price but the slack is so confusing. How did they get the figures $828.58 and $1257.14 total lost.

Bronwyn828.58 and 1257.14 are not $’s – they are the number of units produced at the optimal point (from part (a) of the question).
To get the slack you work out how much amino acids are being used at the optimal point, and compare this with how much amino acid is available. The difference is the spare or slack.
