For listen clients and PIE, It is mandatory for the engagement partner tk be rotated after seven years. But what about non listed entities which are also non PIE…does this seven year rule apply to them also ?in the book there is no mention of specific time period like seven years, its just mentioned tha “rotate senior personnel” (in kaplan text )
The rule applies only to PIEs – but clearly “long association” is a risk for any assurance client and therefore requires safeguards (just not as “extreme” as rotation).
