The question said that if a unit is partially complete at the end of the week, its production will be completed in the following week. When I solved the equation, A is 14.5 units while B is 12.1 units. So when calculate total contribution for the week, should I round these figures down (as partial units may not make any contribution) or just keep the decimal points?
Looking forward to your response,
Iniss.
Where is this question from?
Does it say in the requirement?
When calculating the total contribution for the week, it is generally recommended to keep the decimal points and not round down the figures for partially completed units. This is because even partial units can contribute to the overall revenue and profitability of the company. By including the decimal points, you can accurately calculate the contribution of each unit and sum them up to determine the total contribution for the week.
I make similar but simpler example based on section C question 289. Cosmetics Co in Kaplan Sep23 – Jun24 to illustrate my doubt.
Anyways, I got it. Thank you!
