You are not allowed to attempt the professional papers unless you have already finished all the F level papers (or are taking all the remaining F level papers at the same time.

So you have the choice – either take F5 and F9 in September (and then start taking P papers in December) or alternatively take just F5 in September and then take F9 plus one of the P papers in December.

I would suggest that you take just F5 in September (1.5 months should be enough provided that you watch all of our free lectures and that you get a Revision Kit from one of the ACCA approved publishers, and practice all the question in it).

In December I then suggest you take F9 together with one of the P papers. The ACCA suggest that you take the papers in number order and so the sensible combination would be F9 and P1 in December.

apparently i had registered for f9 exam way back for this september and had even started attending classes .I have only f5 ass subject left in F level thats why I am planning to give two in december. So is it a feasible option to combine F5 with P level paper or am i taking too much risk ,i am unsure about the vastness in P level so would three months suffice for f5 and p level paper?

    Ahh – now I understand 🙂

It is certainly feasible to take F5 together with a P level paper in December.

Best would be immediately after you have taken F9, to start working through our F5 lectures. If you find them reasonably straight forward then no problem taking a P level papers as well. If, on the other hand, you find everything very difficult, then maybe take F5 on its own in December.

The problem for me advising, is that that obviously everyone is different. Some people find F5 reasonably straight forward, whereas other people have terrible problems with it 🙂

If you have to make the decision now, then just spend an hour or so watching my lectures for the first three chapters F5. Then you will have a good idea of how easy or difficult you are likely to find it 🙂

    Hope that helps!

Have you watched my free lectures? (they are complete courses for Papers F5 and F9).

Do you have Revision Kits for these papers from one of the ACCA approved publishers? (because question practice is vital)

I do suggest that you download our free Study Guides for these papers – they are linked from the main pages for F5 and F9.
