    Hi everyone,
I do not know if it is ok to post this here but I need an advice in choosing between Paper P4 and P7…
I heard very bad things about P4 and was wondering what your opinion is?
Is really that bad? Have anyone also tried P7?
My marks at F8 and F9 where almost the same so cannot choose using the previous exam marks…
    Thanks

Its funny how people say P4 is much harder etc, but the best way to judge is to look at pass rates, and all the professional papers have a low pass rate between 30-40%.

Really you should do something you are interested in, and commit urself fully to it. I had same dilemma and went with p4 in the end, I found it very interesting and passed it.

dbuk2000 gave you the right advice. it all depends on your interest and commitment. look your professional goal (career development) and your interest and select one. I don’t think P4 is harder than P7. I myself am studying P4 for December 2011…Good luck!!

Yep if people are constantly telling you it is the hardest module, then you have that doubt in your mind if you choose to take it. At the end of the day relatively the same number of people pass and fail the optional modules.

P4 is all about practise, much more so than other papers. The questions often repeat themselves.

    Thank you for your responses!
You are right about choosing based on interest, but here is where it becomes complicated.
I am an auditor and have some background on this so based on that I should go for P7 but on the other hand I like more the P4 exam style (with calculations also) and Paper F9 was one of my favorites…

CSM77 I am in the same boat with you, I heard so many bad thgings about P4 and pass rate is only around 39%. F9 was one of my fav subject and even though I got only 63 It was kinda easy for me when the global pass rate was 37% (lowest amongst all other F level exams). So I decided to ignore pass rates and others and just go for P4.
