December 10, 2010 at 2:41 am #73379Went into this exam feeling really confident, not feeling confident about the results….
Can anyone remember the answer to the question about Business Document?December 10, 2010 at 5:17 am #73380dont quite remember the question, but i DID get 106000 as expense and 18000 as accrual. it was pretty confusing but the answer all lies in the months. i dont know if im correct but think about it. if anyone remembers the exact question with the months and all, maybe we can go at it again?
December 10, 2010 at 8:43 am #73381I have found the exam being on a moderate level. I have studied and practised accountancy for many years and didn’t find it difficult to get prepared for the exam, but wonder how other people that have not studied or practised accountancy before did manage to cope with it. I will find it interesting to hear whether you attended courses or find it ok on self studying?
December 11, 2010 at 2:55 am #73382Hiya everyone. Just been reading everybody’s notes on the subject of F3 exams out of interest as I sat my exams this week. I have to admit I personally myself wasnt so confident on F3 as I was on F2, found F3 very difficult compared to the style of questions in the revision kit and stupid me, thinking I was sitting F2 went in completely unprepared and no revision of F3 to find out I was actually sitting F3 and not F2 and would cost me to change the date so in the end just sat it. Having no accountancy background nor any qualifications, not even GCSE’s, going down the MSER route was the only option I had, due to work commitments the only chance I got to fully revise was the last 2 weeks for both F2 and F3 so I have to be honest as I did think I failed really badly on F3 as I wasnt confident on any of the questions in the exam. Never sat a exam nor studied since 8-9 years ago since GCSE’s, so when I opened my eyes and seen 73% Pass, I jumped up with joy thinking I did better than I give myself credit for.
December 11, 2010 at 12:24 pm #73383The accural. Was 9000 because the rent was owed for only one month. What’s up with that petty cash question? I don’t even remember what I wrote for the answer. I went into the exam pretty confident, but now I’m just hoping for a pass. The time was not enough to analyse the questions as they should

i passed F1 & 2 but i have to resit F3..that real sucks..i dont like F3 at all. i need serious help with F3…If you are looking forward to becoming an accountant – you need to pay serious attention to this exam. These are the basics of the Accounting..and you will use it in the practice and you will have actually enjoy it as this is what you need to understand with no problems as an accountant. try with some basic lessons – as to get your head around first Cr and Dr and how accounting entries are done – there is sence in all of them..So far I have found real sence only in that exam as for example in the practice you will never actually use the staff that are on F5 – it’s good training for the brain.but.F3 is actually very useful , I hope there will be more exams related to that one in the next papers. Good luck and ask questions if you are stuck somewhere!good luck
December 18, 2010 at 2:59 pm #73394I really hope that you pass this paper, pal. I certainly enjoyed your great contribution to the OT’s community via initiating & managing the ‘study sessions’ on F3 which provided a lot of useful tips for us. I definitly enjoyed them.
Good luck,
Ali
