Sir you haven’t explain the paid in consideration when aquisition is half in shares and rest in cash. I think you said earlier to me it’s not the part of the financial accounting am I correct?
December 1, 2020 at 2:56 pm #597282It is unlikely to be relevant in Paper FA – it is more of a Paper FR problem.
However the approach is no different than if the consideration is all in case. The total consideration is the value of the shares given plus the amount of the cash given.
December 2, 2020 at 6:07 pm #597424sir, I gave the exam, and I left this topic because it’s unlikely to come in the Financial accounting paper, but it came.
even though I scored 54 thanks for the lectures, sir. but please update new content because this consideration paid in shares other might lose 15 marks in the exam
December 3, 2020 at 9:58 am #597468I am pleased that you passed the exam – congratulations.
I really do not know why you left this topic – although it is less likely in Paper FA, there were questions with it in your Revision Kit and you should have attempted all of the questions in the kit. In addition the logic involved is no different than normal rules, and finally it could never be worth 15 marks in any possible exam question!!
