    Hi Dear Mike
    I hope you’ll be fine.
I am doing P7 UK in September 2016
I have used Kaplan text to prepare for the exam which is mainly for International
Is there any major difference between P7 Int & P7 UK?
Coz the text book is written according to ISA & IFRSs
I am worrying that I have prepared according to Int standards
    Please help
    Many Thanks

You could try asking the invigilator, when they give out the exams, for an international version

It’s many years since I taught in the UK so I’m not up-to-date with UK auditing

However, when I look at P2 exams and exam revision kits, there’s a section at the back where (possibly) 10 questions are given slightly different answers to be in accordance with UKGAAP but that’s only 10 out of over 100

The convergence by UK with the rest of the World (not yet USA) is now so close that there is no longer a UK variant for F7 nor F8

I wouldn’t get too excited about it – it’s most probable that the exams will be virtually identical

Now my question to you! Who is to blame for providing you with the wrong material? And how come you didn’t notice it until September 2 with the exam scheduled for September 5!

Don’t bother to answer those questions of mine – just concentrate on getting through your P7.

You can reply to my questions when next week is over
