Keano,
All professional stage papers are challenging and are very practical in nature.
Have you sat any papers in the professional stage. I suggest you sit P2 togther with P7 as you will be expected to have all the knoweldge of P2 for P7 i.e. you will need to know all the accounting standards.
I find P7 interesting and to be honest its not difficult but very tricky. I failed twice not because of lack of preparation but because I believe I was unlucky (achieved 48 & 47). I had a flu when I sat both sittings so this did not help.
To pass this paper you must practice as many past paper real questions as possible and learn how to apply the knowledge to real life scenario.
I hopeing to get through this time round
September 10, 2010 at 2:11 pm #67764Hey Leo,
Yes I have passed P1 and P3 – they were quite handy to be honest – but i seem to get through them theory papers with verbal sh1t – im not expecting the same for P7 – our lecturer has told us its imperrative we read the whole text – however as im taking P2 along with P7 i wont have time to read the text so am concentrating on doing questions and learning notes we cover in class.
I work in audit which im hoping will help a little – but to be honest I think P2 will have to get most of my attention.
How about you – how do you feel about P3? – its good your sitting it in December as next June they are going to be putting alot of Management accounting techniques on the paper

Keano, thanks for the information.
Where are you taking your revision courses?
What are your tips for P3, what’s the best way to study for this subject? As you say the sylabus is changing from next June, I must clear this paper and P7
