    Dear Tutor,

I am planning to sit for P7 UK variant as I am working in the UK and plan to continue. However, on the very first page of the course note, it is written (INT).

I am not sure if I can still use the same notes for UK variant.

Is there separate note for UK variant. I couldn’t find on the website.

Also my colleagues told me that I will not be able to sign on audit report if i take INT variant. Please advice!

    Thanks

There’s no longer any major difference between International variant and UK variant

The differences occur because UK is slow to adopt fully the International Accounting Standards (IASs) and the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRSs)

Why not download a couple of recent exams for the International variant and the same two exams for the UK variant and compare

My bet is that the questions are identical but the answers will vary just slightly because of this element of UK reluctance

As for using the notes … there should be no problem … just be aware of those accounting standard differences

    OK?

(And, yes, your colleagues are correct – the ACCA rules at the moment are that you should have passed P7 UK if you wish to sign off audits in the future (and also F4 English, F6 UK and P2 UK) OK?)
