question 2 in dec 2011…actually give material level of say $800k for asset/liabilities but i misread i take $800k as the total assets and all my answer was based on this calculation where items was immaterial in value i wrote material as per my calculation and so audit opinion was incorrect..will get a credit mark on that. thanks

Well, I don’t know! You could do so long as the answer makes sense. But this just shows the importance of reading the question VERY carefully and highlighting important words. If your answer has had the effect of completely changing the emphasis and focus of the question, then I really do not know what a marker’s reaction is going to be.

All we can do is hope for the best. How many marks were there for question 2?

    Hi

Welcome to the site! Don’t forget to tell all your friends about us too!

The course notes are written for the International students. I presume from your question that you were rather hoping they would be International variant orientated.

However, there may be some students who were hoping for Uk orientated notes. From what I can see ( I’ve not taught in the UK now for nearly 10 years ) there is not a huge difference between International and UK. You could alsways check for yourselves by comparing downloaded syllabi from the ACCA website – or even downloading past exams for both variants and comparing them.
