Hello all, I was so disappointed from my Dec 2013 result my P7 failed at 47 marks , i don’t know the reason why i failed i attempted all the questions and all requirements and my answers are reasonably matching with ACCA examiner answers except Q2 (b) have some variations , please someone guide me the way in which i attempt my P7 paper & practice strategy , how to prepare the paper to pass it next time in june attempt.

    Thanks

Take a 20 mark question from the revision kit. Allocate time for reading and planning. That’s 13 minutes (20 marks divided by 2) + (20% x reading and planning from the 15 minutes allocated)

Now plan, in bullet form. Then re-read the question to see that you have answered the question, the whole question and nothing but the question.

If you find that you haven’t got 20 markable points then there’s your problem.

Try the same with another question, and another, and another. Then go back to the first one and try it again. Now, have you got 20 markable points?

Beware the verbs used in the question. Beware that little word “and” within the question – that’s telling you that there are two questions to be addressed.
And beware that”What evidence would you expect to find on the audit file?” is not the same question as “What further procedures would you carry out?”

    OK?
